The Great Hall

The Great Hall is a meeting place for students, family, and friends. This area houses most of the exhibits in the building. The room is also used as a back drop for meetings, ceremonies, and receptions. The Great Hall is a museum of Corps History and Life within the Corps Center. Hundreds of visitors tour the Corps Center every day to look at thousands of pictures and artifacts which fill the hall.

There are eight large exhibits centering on different Aggie and Corps traditions and over 60 other displays describing the unique lifestyle and history of the Corps. The Great Hall is the first step many students take into the challenging and character building experience the Corps offers. Some of the largest crowds the Corps Center's Great Hall receives are during the new student conferences when new students are given tours of the complex. The inspiring stories and friendly welcome they receive during this time inspires several hundred to join the Corps each year.

The displays are constantly being changed and updated as new donations are received and as seasonal focus changes. Much of this work is done by a special unit in the Corps of Cadets known as the Corps Center Guard. The Corps Center Guard also gives tours to groups which can be scheduled by calling (979) 862-2862.

We invite you to tour the Corps Center and find out what makes Aggies so special. No where else is there a more complete collection of the stories and artifacts of Aggie land. The Corps Center is perhaps the closest you can get to the spirit of Aggieland without stepping into the boots and marching behind the band and discovering for yourself that spirit that can never be told.

If you would like to make a donation, request a tour for a large group or just ask a question, email us at webmaster@corps.tamu.edu or call (979) 862-2862.
