The Library

Over 3,000 volumes of military history and reference books are featured in the Corps Center library. Some are first editions, others are leather bound sets. Besides donating actual books, monetary donations are used to purchase new books from a prepared list compiled by the Texas A&M history department. The room is decorated with beautiful artifacts from A&M's military past.

In addition to the books, the library displays three commemorative swords, (Sam Houston, Jim Bowie, and Col. Travis), twelve decorative dinner plates with pictures of A&M buildings and hand-crafted brass miniature cannons. The library also has a large collection of the A&M yearbook "Aggieland" and a reception desk for visitors.

This beautiful room is used for more then just research and quiet study however. Organizations hold small bible studies and meetings in the library. When a larger meeting place is needed organizations often reserve the Corps Center's large Dashiell room or even the great hall.
