Army ROTC Cadets compete in national guard match

Five Texas A&M Army ROTC cadets competed in the Texas Adjutant General’s 2008 Light Machine Gun Match at Camp Swift, Texas on Feb. 1–3. The match is one of four combat matches hosted annually by the Texas Army National Guard. Each of the four matches focuses on one discipline; pistol, rifle, sniper, or light machine gun.

The cadets attending this year’s match were Andrew Word ’09 from Squadron 3, Allison Barton ‘10 and Megan Strohecker ’10 from Squadron 8, Travis Kennedy ’10 from B-2, and Mitchell Jordon ’10 from D2.
