Fish Drill Team wins Mardi Gras Drill Competition
The Fish Drill Team competed in the annual Mardi Gras Drill Competition at Tulane University in New Orleans on Feb 1.
This meet is commonly recognized as the National Championship because it supports the largest collegiate competition in the nation with participation by over 40 college, university and service academy teams. It is important to note the Fish Drill Team was the only " freshman only " team in the competition.
The Fish Drill team earned first place again this year. The Aggie Fish also took first place in two of the five competition areas. Under the leadership of the upperclassmen advisors, the team was praised by the Marine Drill Instructors who grade the competition events.
It was an impressive team effort and every fish and every advisor made an important contribution and represented the Corps and the university with class.
