The Corps of Cadets hosted their annual Old Army Recall Weekend Feb. 7–9.
Participants—all Class of ’59—enjoyed a weekend full of activities and memories. The Old Army Class of 2008 had several opportunities to visit with cadets on the quad, attended formation, ate meals in Duncan Dining Center, received a performance by the Fish Drill Team, received briefings on various Corps activities, were fitted in Corps uniforms and concluded the weekend with a tour of the Corps dorms and a briefing from the ROTC colonels from each branch of service.
Program coordinator Cathy McWhorter, development relations coordinator for the Corps, shared some thoughts on this year’s event. “Old Army Recall Weekend allows our former students to celebrate great memories of their time in the Corps and also allows them an in-depth look into the present and future of the Corps in its mission of leadership and service.”
For more information on how you can become involved in Old Army Recall Weekend, contact Cathy McWhorter at 979-862-2862 or cmcwhorter@corps.tamu.edu.
