4H & FFA Program

PDFPrintE-mail

The 4H & FFA Program is a two-day event where high school seniors and juniors actively involved in 4H or FFA are invited to experience the Corps of Cadets. During the program you will:
  • Get to know current cadets and spend the night on campus
  • Attend an A&M sporting event – football in the fall or basketball/baseball in the spring
  • Learn about admission into Texas A&M, scholarships, financial aid and academic support
  • Participate in an obstacle course, leadership development course and other Corps activities
  • Attend a recognition banquet

Scholarships
All qualified students attending the 4H & FFA Program will be considered for a variety of Corps Scholarships, which carry no military obligation and may be used in conjunction with other scholarships. If a Corps Scholarship is awarded to a student who is not a resident of Texas, the recipient may qualify for in-state tuition.

Dates and Schedule
The program is offered during the fall and spring semesters. Our next session will take place April 23 - 24, 2010.

Registration
The program costs a nonrefundable $25 per student. To register and learn about attendance requirements, click on the button above and submit the online registration form. Fill out and return the packet of information mailed to you prior to the program date to reserve your spot. Your registration cannot be reserved until the forms and payment are received. Due to a limited number of spots, prompt return of the forms is encouraged.

Note:  Seniors must have a completed application on file in the Texas A&M Office of Admissions by the January 15, 2010 cutoff in order to attend the spring 2010 4-H/FFA Program.

Parents
A session specifically for parents is held during the program and parents are invited to join their students at the recognition banquet. Parents will need to arrange for their own accommodations.
