Emmanual at drill Cadet Emmanual Guillory, Class of '06, is the 2005-06 Fightin' Texas Aggie Band Artillery Band Drum Major. Emmanual grew up in Lufkin, Texas and was active in his high school military marching band. Because of such interest, Emmanual knew plenty about the Aggie Band, and he aspired to become a part of the nationally famous "Pulse of Aggieland." Emmanual also knew that in order to be in the Aggie band, he would be required to be a member in the Corps of Cadets. He said that when he came to campus to experience the Corps, they "won him over." He knew at that moment the Corps was where he wanted to be.

Cadet Guillory has held various leadership positions during his time in the Corps. He was selected to be torch corporal and last year, a first sergeant. Now, you will find Cadet Guillory proudly standing and leading the Aggie Band as their artillery band drum major. He is also a Ross Volunteer; a position he holds with great honor and respect.

Emmanual at drill When interviewed by The Guidon, a publication of the Texas Aggie Corps of Cadets Association, Cadet Guillory spoke the following when asked of his contributions to the Corps: "I would like my greatest contribution to be the fact that I gave it all during my time to lead. I was influenced by those who did the right thing even when others had negative attitudes. I always want to let others know that I care about them whether it is pertaining to Corps situations or life in general." Emmanual is a definite example of confident leadership. He strives to be a positive role model for others to follow, and many of his fellow cadets would tell you the same.

So what does the future hold for Cadet Emmanual Guillory? If all goes according to plan, after graduation, Emmanual would like to take all the necessary steps to work towards becoming the equivalent of our Texas A&M Vice President for Student Affairs for a university; and he will get there..with his undying dedication and commitment to his goals.
