Cadet Jessica Simmons gives nothing less than 110 percent. It doesn't take long when talking with her to realize where her passions lie - - family, Texas A&M and the Corps and helping/leading others.

Jessica wanted to come to A&M more than anything.and just like everything else in her life - she made it happen. And joining the Corps has been everything and more than she bargained for.she has definitely made the most of it. This year, Jessica is a senior in the Corps. Last year, she served as her outfit's 1st Sergeant. This year.well.Jessica is the Commanding Officer of SQ-3. A commander who considers her role as one through which she can make a difference. "It doesn't matter what I achieve; it matters who I impact and what kind of impact I make on them," shared Jessica.

When asked what advice she'd offer an incoming freshman in the Corps.her answer was representative of the type of leader Jessica is - "Everything that you do as a fish, do it as best and as intense as you can. If you learn to do things that you don't like to do, because sometimes you don't like being a fish, with your whole heart, you'll discover the value of hard work and integrity because you give it your all everyday. You also earn respect and trust from your buddies and upperclassmen which will serve you well for the rest of your Corps career," said Jessica.
