"Yes, sometimes there will be bumps along the way, sometimes even potholes, but if you have your buddies and you trust you upperclassmen, the ride should be smooth," explains Odonna to an incoming freshmen. Odonna shared that all the memories of her fish year are her best. She shared that being a fish in the Corps and learning to balance her time has taught her a lot about life and her future.

Odonna with her outfit Cadet Hastings is pursuing an Army contract. She will be the first female in her family to pursue a military career. She agrees that the balance between school, family, and the requirements of becoming an Army officer are challenging, but has a very positive outlook on all of it. Odonna said, "Nevertheless, I have to thank the Lord for allowing me to accomplish whatever work I got done today and look forward to tomorrow."

In closing, Odonna shared an important "Fish" memory. She explained that when she was a fish, one of her upperclassmen, "Mister Capps" at the time, said to her: "The Corps is like the Bible.
