Combat 5K Run to be Held Feb. 27
The Army ROTC elite training unit, Rudder's Rangers will hold their third annual Combat 5K Run on Saturday, Feb. 27 at Wolf Pen Creek Park in College Station.
Registration begins at 8:30 a.m., the race will begin at 10:30 a.m. There is a 5K race and a one-mile family jog/walk which is stroller friendly. There will be music and great prizes.
Fun for cadets and families alike, this is an opportunity to help support Fisher House, an organization that helps our military combat veterans and their families in times of need. Fisher House is a non profit organization that provides housing to families of injured veterans while they are recovering. For more information about Fisher House go to http://www.fisherhouse.org/.
Cost is $20 per participant and includes an event shirt to the first 300 registered.

Rudder’s Rangers (Army), named in honor of Major General James Earl Rudder, is the Army ROTC’s elite training unit for cadets of any branch who want to become proficient in small unit light infantry tactics. Rudder’s Rangers participate in two major events each year, the Winter Field Training Exercise held at Ft. Hood and the Best Ranger Competition.
