Col. Byron Stebbins ’78

Col Stebbins was born in Boulder, CO and grew up in Dickinson, Texas. He received a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Texas A&M University, a Master of Science Degree in Management from the Naval Postgraduate School, and a Master of Arts Degree in National Security and Strategic Studies from the Navy War College. 

He was commissioned a Second Lieutenant in the United States Marine Corps in December of 1978. Col Stebbins served in a variety of billets over his 30 year Marine Corps career as an Aviation Logistician. Most memorable were his time as the Commander of Marine Aviation Logistics Squadron 31 in Beaufort, SC and Marine Wing Support Group 17 in Okinawa, Japan. His last assignment was as the Chief of Staff for the 1st Marine Aircraft Wing.

Col Stebbins and his wife, Ann, have four Children. Their oldest daughter is a student (Class of ’12) at Texas A&M, while their two sons and youngest daughter look forward to the day they can claim themselves as Fightin’ Texas Aggies of the Classes ’15, ’18 and ’20.
