Summer Semester before Your Senior Year

Fall Semester of Your Senior Year

  • Submit your State of Texas Common Application for Freshmen Admission as early as 1 September 2007 with a $60.00 application fee (with copy of permanent resident card, if applicable) and high school transcript. Your goal should be to submit your completed application prior to Thanksgiving. The admissions closing date will be 1 February 2008.   • Participate in the Spend the Night with the Corps program.
    • The program includes University admissions, scholarship, and financial aid counseling as well as attending a class with a cadet.
    • Allows prospective students to view the Corps through the eyes of a cadet and establish their first personal contacts in the Corps.
  • Schedule and retake SAT/ACT as necessary to meet admissions and scholarship standards. Enter appropriate College Code 6003 for SAT and 4198 for the ACT. See your high school counselor for details.
  • Apply for Texas A&M University Scholarships, Financial Aid, and Opportunity Awards (deadline for Opportunity Awards scholarship will be early January 2008).
  • Apply for a Corps of Cadets Scholarship (early September 2007). Corps scholarships are both need and merit based.
  • Follow-up with the Admissions Office before closing date to ensure that all requirements are met to apply to A&M
  • If you intend to compete for a ROTC scholarship, contact your local ROTC Officer Selection Office. For more information, call the Army, Air Force, or Navy/Marine ROTC departments at Texas A&M. Visit the A&M ROTC homepage
  • For any additional campus visits, contact the Appelt Aggieland Visitor Center to schedule meetings with an academic department representative, honors program representative, financial aid representative, admissions counseling, and/or take a guided tour of the campus. Your visit may include a meeting with a Corps of Cadets representative.

Spring Semester of Your Senior Year

  • Participate in the Spend the Night with the Corps program if you haven't already. Last day 24 April 2008.
  • Follow-up with the Admissions Office to ensure that all requirements are met to apply to A&M.
  • Apply for Financial Aid. Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Apply as soon after 1 January 2008 as possible. See your high school counselor for details.
  • Contact the Corps Recruiting Office at 1-800-TAMU-AGS to reaffirm your level of interest in the Corps.
  • Receive an acceptance letter from Texas A&M University.
