Q: How do I apply for a Corps Scholarship?
A: Incoming Freshmen apply online at http://www.applytexas.org . Complete the online application to apply for Admission to Texas A&M University, and be sure to complete the section labeled “Scholarships” so that your application is submitted for all TAMU scholarships (including Corps of Cadets).
You will also need to send in two (2) Letters of Recommendation and a Resume to the Corps Scholarship office, via FAX (979) 845-8066 or mail to:

- Transfer/Continuing TAMU students, download our paper application and return to the Corps Scholarship office along with two (2) Letters of Recommendation and a Resume.
Q: When is the deadline to apply for Corps scholarships?
A: There is NO deadline to apply for Corps of Cadets scholarships. However, online applications will no longer be available after the February 1, 2008 TAMU Application for Admission Deadline. Beginning February 2nd Incoming Freshmen will need to download our paper application to use as an alternative.
Q: What are the requirements for being awarded a Corps scholarship?
A: Corps scholarships are awarded based on three criteria: Academics, Merit and/or Financial Need. Each application is scored using a “Ranking Worksheet” which evaluates the student’s High School academic standing, SAT/ACT scores, leadership roles, extracurricular activities, employment history, and/or family income.
Q: When will Corps scholarships be awarded?
A: The Corps Scholarship office will begin reviewing scholarship applications in January. Scholarship award letters will be mailed out on a rotating basis beginning February, and continuing through August.
